Music I listen to

Snow Patrol "Chasing Cars" - makes me cry EVERY time I hear it!

I am a big music fan and have quite a wide taste in music but here are some of my faves ...
Josh Groban
Sarah McLachlan
Blake
Matchbox 20
Lifehouse
Keane
Goo Goo Dolls
Russell Watson
Savage Garden
U2

TV shows I watch

West Wing - they've stoped making it mores the pity

Doctor Who (David Tennant)

Child Of Our Time

Torchwood (from behind the sofa)

Masterchef

Creat & Craft

Books that moved me

This is a short list because I'm hopeless at reading ... I would love to read more but just end up falling asleep after a few lines. Got a huge stack of work books to wade through on subjects like cascading style sheets and HTML (Yawn! Almost asleep just thinking about it!).

At school we had to read To Kill A Mockingbird for our English Lit O level. I wouldn't have chosen to read it but because we did and because we then talked about it in great depth it became an instant favourite and I've re-read it several times since.

I read a book years ago called "Two In To One" by Louette Harding about a couple who divorce and the affect it has on their child ... I spent the whole book in floods of tears.

People I look up to

My mum is so self less I find her truly amazing. She never makes a decision with out thinking about who will be caught in the ripple effect. She'll drop everything at a moments notice no matter how she feels herself.

Robert Winston - I've had a few attempts at IVF and have a great deal of respect for Robert Winson's work.

Interesting facts about me

Must get hubby to take a photo of me!

I'm married to a Leeds lad so although we live fifteen minutes away from Middlesbrough I'm a LUFC fan and we also enjoy rugby Super League (Leeds Rhinos). I've been brave enough to go and watch the rugby live but haven't been to a football match.

I have a black and tan working cocker spaniel called C.J.
(Hubby and I are HUGE West Wing fans ... C.J. is the name of the press secretary)

If I'm not working on the computer I'm usually shopping on it.

I spent my entire childhood dreaming of being a chef and went to catering college for two years where I discovered that I am pants at cooking ... so much so that hubby cooks tea every night.

Apart from being a craft addict I love baking ... it's a great way to relax away from the computer screen.
Muffins and brack are the easiest things in the world to make and are absolutely yummy.

I can highly recommend running your own business and thoroughly enjoy it ... plus it means I can take time out on a morning to have a walk with the pooch.

    Hi Sue

Welcome to the forum. I've only just changed my avatar so I'm pleased I did now : )

There are quite a few of us from the Teesside area now I think - maybe we should try to arrange a Sheenie meet.

CJ looks so cute there - quite similar to my Merlin even though he is a show Cocker. (He's not really into all that poncie stuff like having hair cuts lol) We like him with his long hair.

Hope you have a good Easter too and thank you for leaving me a message.

    Hi Julie
Don't know if I am a Boro fan anymore after today (only joking) but very disappointed. Yes they are our two dogs Max and Sasha and they rule the house. I have been making cards for over 5 years now and I do sell them. I have my own website RedRoseCards.Co.uk and I used to do wedding fairs but with going back to work full time I couldn't put the time into promoting it so I haven't updated the website and don't advertise. I still get the occassional oder for wedding stationery but mainly I do for family and friends. I usually onlt charge for the materials used and add a little on for my time. I have just received an order from hubbys niece for 40 21st birthday invites so will have to get my thinking cap on. We are very limited in Stockton for classes and would love to get enough people together from the area to maybe hire a hall or somewhere and meet once a week and have coffee and share ideas whilst making cards. Well now I've wittered on. Thanks again for getting in touch. Barb
